Who handles your data

Small Town Cinema is the controller of personal data collected through this site. Our privacy contact is info@smalltowncinema.com.

Application data

When you apply, we receive your chosen role, name, email address, phone number, date of birth, city and country, social profile details, audition video link and personal statement. We also record your IP address and browser user agent to secure the site and prevent abuse.

Applying is voluntary. The required fields are needed to assess your application and contact you. We cannot process an application without them.

Why we use it

We use this data to review applications, watch submitted material, communicate with applicants, arrange auditions, protect the site, keep necessary records and comply with the law. Our legal bases are steps taken at your request before a possible engagement, our legitimate interests in running and securing the casting process, and legal obligations where they apply. People make casting decisions. We do not make them solely by automated means.

Who receives it

Access is limited to authorised members of the Small Town Cinema project and suppliers needed to host the site, secure it and deliver email. We do not sell application data, use it for advertising or publish it.

Postmark processes email delivery data in the United States using the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses. Other transfers outside the European Economic Area use an applicable adequacy decision or legally recognised safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep application data while casting is active. When the process ends, we delete unsuccessful applications once they are no longer needed. Information about a selected applicant may become part of the later working relationship. We may keep limited records longer where required by law or reasonably necessary for a legal claim.

Privacy rights

Where data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, and to receive a copy of data you provided. These rights depend on the circumstances and may be limited by law. Send a verified request to the privacy contact above. You may also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Site technology

The public site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. The private staff panel uses one essential session cookie after sign-in. Public pages contain video players from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. Loading a player sends technical connection data to Google and YouTube under their own privacy terms.
